WELCOME MESSAGE FROM APAC CO-CHAIRS

I am delighted to welcome APAC Members, Affiliates and invited stakeholders to the 2023 APAC Annual Meetings that are being hosted by APAC’s Full Members based in the United States of America. This will be the second opportunity since APAC’s establishment in 2019 for the largest regional accreditation community in the world to come together to discuss accreditation-related topics. Our meetings provide the opportunity to renew our long-standing friendships and professional relationships and provide a forum to catch-up on our recent accreditation experiences and learn from each other as we emerge into the new world of pandemic management and greater use of accreditation assessment technologies.

The Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (APAC) was established on January 1, 2019 by the amalgamation of two former regional accreditation cooperation bodies – the Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC) and the Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (PAC).

APAC’s primary role is to manage and expand the mutual recognition arrangements (MRAs) among accreditation bodies in the Asia-Pacific region. These MRAs facilitate acceptance of conformity assessment results across the region and in other parts of the world.
